Our prayer is that worship involve everyone and encompass our daily life and church life… not just a chosen few only on Sunday mornings! We believe that gifts are from God to everyone for everyone. Continue reading to learn about a number of ways your gifts can be utilized in worship.
The Band
This is our main area of service for instrumentalists and from within this larger body, selected teams are scheduled each week to lead worship musically. Additionally… select members of this entire team are chosen to represent New Harvest at gigs outside the church such as: The Marion County Fair – Good Vibrations Bike Rally Worship Service – concert stage at Good Vibrations – and many other opportunities in and around Salem/Keizer. Our main configuration is typical rock band… guitars, bass, keyboard, drums. All instrumentalists, however, are welcome!
Participation on this team requires a high level of commitment, personal preparation, and spiritual maturity. An informal interview is required as well as a jam session/audition during one of our regular rehearsals.

The Singers
Each Sunday, members of this group, along with The Band, lead out in singing our praises to Jesus. This group backs up the worship leader and regularly takes the lead on songs themselves. We like our singers to be pretty self sufficient… able to hear and sing harmonies as well as melody lines. This group works very closely together and takes direction from the Worship Director/Worship leader. Members of this group are also chosen to represent New Harvest, along with The Band, at gigs outside the church. Children’s Worship
Throughout the year our Children’s Ministry will participate in our worship services through singing – bell choir – reciting/reading scripture. As well a time for children’s worship has been a recent addition to the fun and fulfilling things the children participate in!
