Global Outreach

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

Mission & Purpose

Our primary missionary endeavor is to support the work of those sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in Salem and around the world. We understand not everyone can travel around the globe sharing the Good News, so we partner with those who can.

From local organizations to international outreach, we want to stand with our brothers and sisters in Christ who are engaging in the culture, building relationships, and discipling believers across the world.

We aim to:

    • Support the work ministries are doing
    • Invite our body to participate in prayer and in person
    • Give back to the global community through prayer and with physical resources

We do this by:

    • Monetarily supporting the work happening around the globe
    • Sending short-term teams to help
    • Volunteering in our own community

ABWE Church Planting

Church Planting in Australia.

Through ABWE, Association of Baptists for World Evangelization, Matthew and Barbara Douglass have served as missionaries in Australia since 1994.

Amani Fellowship

The specific name of the mission in Kenya is Amani, which means peace. We are supporting this mission organization to help 50 orphans in Kenya to have a better life with basic holistic provisions which sustain and support their well-being. This ministry is spearheaded by Phyllis Featherstone, who continues as our lead person, even though she has moved to St. George, Utah.

Athletes In Action

Darin McFarland, originally from Keizer, OR, has served in Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) since the 1990’s. We have supported his mission since that time when he said yes to God’s call to serve the Lord in Russia.

In 2009, he and his family returned to the United States to continue their mission in Boston reaching out to student-athletes at Boston College, Harvard, and Merrimack College with the Gospel.

Hope Pregnancy Center

We partner with Hope to save lives. The staff and volunteers empower women to make healthy, life-affirming pregnancy decisions. HPC has represented Christ and the value of unborn for almost 40 years in our community.

Mid Valley North Young Life

We support the evangelistic efforts of the staff and volunteers who are reaching out to students at McNary, McKay, and North High Schools.

Salem Leadership Foundation

A local Christian organization that endeavors to engage people of faith and goodwill to collaboratively transform Salem/Keizer into the healthiest city in Oregon.

Rian Rasubala is a staff member with SLF as well as a member of our church along with his wife, Hannah.

Time Ministries

We have supported Dorretta Brown, now retired, since the launch of our church. TIME is reaching people for Christ in Santa Domingo, DR, and Monterrey, Mexico.

They are known for providing and building a simple 24′ X 24′ chapel and have hundreds of volunteers serve on short-term mission teams every year.

Union Gospel Mission

We support this mission that serves the hungry, hurting, and homeless in Marion and Polk Counties.

We have observed an increase in homelessness in our city and believe that UGM is making the biggest difference by offering men, women, and families shelter, food, and the truth of the Gospel. UGM is our main resource for addressing homelessness near our church campus.
